Two dimensional (2D) CAD (computer-aided-design) models enabled drawing quality improvements in product design and engineering over manual drafting. Prior to the advent of economical desktop computers skilled draftsmen spent hours laboring with graphite lead pencils on velum and Mylar to achieve engineering quality documentation for fabrication and production manufacturing. The process required tedious checking to eliminate errors wherein modification required erasures and redrawing over and over on the same sheet. Large projects had many drawing documents linked to one another that required procedural revisions and archiving. http://is.gd/1dvkF
Start-up ventures, inventors, and small companies may have product ideas, concepts, patents, or core technologies that are the basis of a new product development effort. Accordingly, many product development programs begin without either 2D (three dimensional) or 3D (three dimensional) CAD models. It is typical in these environments not to have professional CAD capabilities. Many business success stories tell of conversations over coffee sketching on a napkin. Good ideas can come from anywhere and anyone including from people with diverse backgrounds that do not necessarily include product or business development experience. At some point, people with entrepreneurial aspirations will seek the services of professional CAD designers, engineers, for prototyping and manufacturing capabilities. http://LNK.by/cW2

CAD data or Computer Aided Design data simply refers to the electronic file information created and used by various CAD / CAM programs for the design and manufacture of certain types of mechanical and plastic injection molded products. For the purposes of this discussion there will be two main types of data which will be addressed. The first type of data is called "native" data which simply means the electronic file information created, saved and retrieved or maintained within the authoring CAD program. The other type of data is called "export" or translation data which is utilized by other versions of the parent program or different systems altogether which must be translated and then imported into the retrieving programs. There is also a distinction between what industry professionals call "development data" and "manufacturing data" which will be the focus of this discussion. The term "Data Cleanup" becomes necessary in the case of development vs manufacturing data whenever there is a need to alter CAD data in such a way as to optimize it for use by prototype makers and manufacturers of the end product. Product designs are typically authored within the 3D CAD program environments some of which include systems like Pro Engineer and Solidworks.
The truth is that making 2d drawings is fast and easy, but the output is still a 2D drawing, which does not readily work with downstream systems like purchasing and manufacturing. In some cases 2d drawings are sufficient but 90% of the time they are not. In prototyping, for example, a 3d model has to be made because most of the prototyping machines require 3d data. In fact, the majority of the machines used to manufacture parts need 3d cad files and do not read 2d cad drawings because 2d drawings do not contain all information needed to develop a three-dimensional product.
World's largest medical trade fair is the MEDICA in Dusseldorf, where each year about six hundred speakers introduce the latest medical knowledge of their discipline and some three hundred suppliers present their latest discoveries and developments. Outpatient as well as inpatient technological tools up to new digital processes of health care are presented in Dusseldorf. So, all in all the entire modern achievements of world medicine are showcased there.

Since the earliest days of rapid prototyping, experts have envisioned the application of the technology in the manufacturing process, and the focus of this vision has been on the initial cost and time savings that are realized when tooling is eliminated. However, the relative impact pales in comparison to the wide ranging advantages that exist when rapid manufacturing is implemented.
By the end of the 90s there were mainly systems with only a one-point laser treatment (laser-pen). When using this method of one-point treatment, energy often was too low at the fixed point and apart from that, treatment time was too short in order to achieve objectively verifiable effects. Also, the criteria of traditional Chinese medicine could not be met with this method. Therefore, the medical practitioner Dr. Michael Weber developed the first multi-laser needle system together with some physicists and made it known all over the world.
